| Curry made the same mistake (this mistake had costed him a ring years ago) again: his 2-point efficiency (mostly hoop attack) are far less than his 3-point efficiency, so he should make as much effort as possible to shoot 3's. In game 3, only 50% of his shots were 3's (he got 18 points from 3's & only 13 points from 2's, including the free throw). He really should attempt > 70% as 3's. Curry is not long and not that athletic, so more often than not, his hoop attacks were either blocked, altered, or not go in. During the regular season games, that was OK since he played various teams not all of them with top defense, and his free throw was accurate. But this is the playoff and he plays top defense teams. In addition, all teams play tougher defense during the playoff, so the officiating threshold has to be higher, or there will be too many foul calls, which will result in fewer free throws for him. I think Curry understands that, but his ego wins and he always think his hoop attack skill is good enough.... |
